MG620001 and MG620001 Transfer case Half for NP261 and NP263
MG620001 and MG620001 Transfer case Half for NP261 and NP263

Motive Gear has developed a nice quality aftermarket case half for transfer case repairs and replacements.

Yes, we have it here for you at Rigid Axle!

AND, yes… There are even better quality transfer case covers and transfer case halves like the one shown here by Motive Gear that are slightly heavier in weight and have a little more girth to the fins on the outside of the transfer case.

Both case halves get less wear than the stock transfer case (rear) that often finds a way to leak due to pump knock or rub.

These cases have a BRNY available to prevent wearing and pinholes that can cause the stock transfer case to leak.

So why in the world do you need to replace your transfer case housing?

New Process missed a design flaw in the NP261LD/NP263LD (Light Duty), NP261HD/NP263HD (Heavy Duty), NP261XHD/NP263XHD (Extra Heavy Duty) housings. The pump has a tendency to walk around and rub against the aluminum case. Over time, the pump eats through the case causing an open hole. Not only can this contaminate the inside of your transfer case, it produces a more annoying and persistent issue, even a massive leak… Causing future problems if not repaired properly.

The last thing you want is to figure out your transfer case had a leak long after the leak drained out all the fluid.

The leak can cause parts to fail, and we don’t want that to be the case for you! No pun intended.

So what do we do instead?

These replacement transfer cases have aluminum in all the right areas. The Motive Gear rear case half is reinforced around the pump, nipping the issue in the bud!

No more premature case ware. Not stopping there, they include the output shaft bearing, two threaded sensor ports, and case bushing already pressed in place.
