- Our Rigid Axle Eaton style limited-slip positraction unit uses cup style springs and heavy duty clutches for smooth and aggressive traction. The carrier case is forged steel for strength and reliability. Because this carrier is a clutch style posi, it can be rebuilt and serviced. Our Rigid Axle positraction is the perfect choice for daily drivers, weekend warriors, towing, basic off-road use, and street/strip applications.     - Rigid Axle's OE Dry 2-Cut and aftermarket ring and pinion gear sets are made from heat treated 8620 steel. Our OE Dry 2-Cut ring and pinions are made using a two-cut, face hobbed manufacturing process. The advantage to running a 2-Cut gear is how quiet they operate. If you want a guaranteed quiet gear, upgrade to our Dry 2-Cut gear set! When these gears are set up properly and rolled with gear marking compound, the pattern will show up slanted. Our aftermarket gear set is made using a five-cut, face milled manufacturing process. Once set up correctly, this will give a square contact pattern on the drive and coast side of each tooth. We are proud of our ring and pinion lines, and you will be too!

    * Note: Chrysler 9.25" ring gears may make contact with the OE housing. We recommend you clearance the housing to allow for a 0.020" gap. When running 4.56 or 4.88 ratio gear sets, OE and aftermarket carrier cross shafts will require clearancing in order to install the axle shaft c-clips. When running 3.21 - 4.10/4.11, no clearancing is required!
